Sales and Design Consultants

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase company revenue, by conducting sales presentations and cold-calling if necessary.
  • Build and foster a network of referrals with contractors, builders and interior designers in order to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities and other research.
  • Greet showroom visitors and provide design ideas and options using effective upselling techniques.
  • Research product availability and follow up with prospective clients on a timely manner.
    Offer in-house consultations, provide product samples, prepare quotes, estimate delivery dates and coordinate product installation.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of direct work experience in an external sales capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Professional demeanour, selling style, and appearance.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Previous experience in the interior design, tile or flooring industries.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Additional language is desirable.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Due to the nature of the retail business, being available to work on Saturdays is a requirement of this position.

Showroom Assistant – Vancouver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet showroom visitors warmly and fulfill all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort and overall satisfaction
  • Deal with all inquiries in a professional and courteous manner – whether in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
  • Answer questions about our company, showroom locations, hours of operation or driving directions as well as take messages when sales staff members are unavailable
  • Coordinate deliveries with freight companies, ensuring that orders are picked up and delivered on time
  • Gather samples, prepare quotes and process payments on behalf of the sales team
  • Act as a facilitator for return and repair issues, provide information regarding order status and stock availability
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail
  • Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties
  • Order, receive and maintain office supplies
  • Maintain the appearance of our showroom and work areas
  • Update product/inventory and customer database on a regular basis

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a professional environment
  • A strong work ethic with a professional attitude and excellent organizational skills
  • Friendly, with a strong commitment to providing quality customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
